Orion House

Orion house is a two story, 3000 sqf building which can comfortably accommodate 12 people. It has 6 bedrooms – master bedroom with king size bed, 4 bedrooms with queen size beds and one bedroom with two twin size beds. The property is very private on 2.5 acres, where you can enjoy the peace, quiet and stunning night skies. Milky way house is great for either single couple or larger groups of friends or big families. Perfect for weekend or longer escapes from the city, celebrations, parties or get-togethers. It is just about 5 minutes from Dry Lake Campground where the Joshua Tree music festivals are and about 20 minutes from Joshua Tree downtown and 30 minutes from J.T. National park.

The house has big wrap around balcony which is great for evening relaxation, watching meteor showers, stars and admiring the clarity of the milky way.
There is wired high speed internet in each bedroom and library, as well as WiFi covering the whole house and backyard. There is 60″ smart TV in the upstairs living room, with media server, blu ray and DVD player and plenty of DVDs to choose from. Downstairs is 50″ Smart 4k TV, able to stream pretty much anything you want. Each bedroom has at least one micro-USB charger, there are few iPhone charging cables and in the dining area next to the stereo is a fast charging station where you can plug up to six devices .
Backyard has a large fire pit if you like to roast sausages or marshmallows or just have a beer by the fire. The wood is provided as a courtesy of Milky Way House, but please use your common sense, be reasonable with the size of fire you are making. You are in the desert after all, where everything loves to burn really fast. There is a large concrete patio behind the house with picnic tables, extra patio chairs, swing and a propane BBQ grill. The propane tanks are provided.

Kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, radiant cook top, microwave, coffee maker, NuWave oven, blender, toaster, etc. I believe there is just about anything in the kitchen you may need for a large group of people.
The property is about 12 miles from Joshua Tree downtown and the last mile and half is on a dirt road which gets often bumpy, since the county is slacking behind with the maintenance.

During your stay the house is pretty much yours to use and explore, the kitchen, dining areas, downstairs and upstairs living rooms, balcony, patio and the backyard. There are six bedrooms available and ready to be used, but, if you are a small group, please leave the bedrooms you don’t need undisturbed to keep your cleaning fee down. There is one extra room upstairs which is locked up (it used to be an office) We are getting ready to remodel it into third bathroom.
There is plenty of space on the property for multiple vehicles.
We have one security camera to oversee the front yard and one camera in the back yard for security reasons and to prevent vandalism and burglars. There are NO cameras in the house or anywhere else around the property.
